Master Developer
Ken and Linda McGurn through their various companies have redeveloped award-winning projects since 1978. They are considered the proud parents of Gainesville’s downtown renaissance that took off after their successful national award winning 1986 Southeast Quadrant Redevelopment Project that included the Sun Center, Arlington Square Apartments, the Star Garage Legal Center, the Downtown Parking Garage and 14 blocks of city streetscape. Most recently they completed the 140,000 square feet mixed use Union Street Station in downtown Gainesville that combines retail on the first floor, offices on the second floor and 51 residential condominiums on the upper floors. An innovative skyway bridge connects the building with a parking garage developed, managed and owned by McGurn Investment Company.
Construction on the $30,000,000 mixed-use Main Street Landing downtown redevelopment in New Port Richey, Florida has also begun by Main Street Landing, LLP. This Tuscan-themed project with 55 residential units and ground-floor restaurants and retail stores will wind along the Pithlachascotee River on a once blighted site in New Port Richey. Port Orange Riverwalk, LLP, is the master developer for the Port Orange Riverwalk redevelopment project consisting of 38 acres and frontage along the Halifax River just south of Daytona Beach. This 12-year, $750-million project will include six condo towers, street-level mixed use commercial and residential development, a new downtown center, and a boardwalk.
